JSTOR limited membership

JSTOR, the repository of academic journals on the web, now has a free limited membership option which allows you to keep up to three readable articles at once on a private 'shelf' for no charge.  The articles will be available to you for fourteen days after which you can replace them with others.

It's great news if you like to do a bit of research here and there.

  1. It's about time they did this, I have to say. It annoyed me no end that their "free access" was basically only to professional academics - and I am a professional academic!

  2. Yes, I've had cause to curse the old policy once or twice as well! You can't download the articles, but at least you can read them and take screenshots as needed. Very useful.
